  • The origin of KAKEN PHARMACEUTICAL Co., Ltd., can be traced back to the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research ( Riken ), established in 1917. The Company started pharmaceutical business with full-scale development of penicillin and streptomycin based on Riken's own technologies in 1948.

    　The new headquarters were opened in 1998 in Bunkyo Green Court, an urban community center in Tokyo, Japan, where KAKEN's origin, Riken, started.
